Welcome

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient hands-on Art for energizing the body, mind and spirit. Jin Shin Jyutsu for Your Animal Companion is a direct outgrowth of Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) as practiced by thousands of people who receive sessions and practice daily self-help. This Art allows the body to release the tensions which can cause symptoms and negative attitudes.

Over the past decades Adele Leas has pioneered this work and made it applicable for domesticated animals. Dogs, cats and horses, along with other animals, have an understanding of this non-verbal Art and seem to have been waiting all their lives to be touched like this. Mary Burmeister, who brought this Art to the West from Japan in the 1950’s tells us that through JSJ our awareness is awakened to the simple fact that we are endowed with the ability to harmonize and balance ourselves (in rhythm with the universe) physically, mentally and spiritually. She tells us “Jin Shin Jyutsu is an innate part of man’s wisdom – simplifying the complexities of existence – and is truly an Art of Living.” Now we have the ability to share this Art of Living with all Creatures.

Jin Shin Jyutsu for Animal Companion Certification

This certification program, recognized by many animal sanctuaries and refuges, will give practitioners a firm base in both the Art of JSJ and the knowledge of how to share it with many different species in diversified situations, allowing the spreading of the Art for animals in an in-depth, meaningful and compassionate way.

Certification will require:

• Attendance at 3 animal JSJ classes, with at least one of them being in-person and in a sanctuary setting where multiple species and varied special needs animals can be worked on. The in-person class must be at least 3 days long.

• 3 5-day human JSJ classes (basic JSJ certification). (https://www.jsjinc.net)

What’s coming next?

Since the start for the pandemic, all my classes have moved on-line. Surprisingly, this shift has been so wonderful that I think some classes will always remain this way! Now students from around the world can take classes, sharing experiences while still holding their own animals, all cuddled up on the couch.

Come join us for the in-depth 5 week Introduction to Jin Shin Jyutsu for Your Animal Companion class on the Teachable Platform beginning on September 18th, 202l, at 11 a.m. (ET). We will dive into the book by the same name, based on Mary Burmeister’s Self Help books 1 and 2, giving you a firm foundation in the core principals of the Art. You will receive am email with links to between 4-8 videos each week. You watch when you want and as often as you want. We will also have 4 on-line classes during this process to answer questions, build your confidence and create community. One of the best part of Teachable is that you can access all the material for years to come

It is easy to begin using this gentle Art of harmonizing because the work focuses on the principles of self-help.You will gain the skills to center yourself and make a meaningful connection with an animal.

Disharmonies and health conditions improved through this Art include:

– Lessening healing time after injury or surgery

 – Digestive and elimination concerns

– Skeletal and muscular issues
– Circulatory problems

– Arthritis, rheumatism and other age-related imbalances
– Lessening attitudinal disharmonies such as aggression, fear and grief while you deepen your bond

The videos and live on-line classes will have some lecture and theory, some self help and some hands-on practice with the animals. My 2 very willing demo dogs will be with us for most calls. We will also include sessions with my horse and hopefully, with my camera-shy cat. We may include some rescue animals as well. No matter who I work with, you are welcome to bring any species to class or take it all in for a future date and work on yourself thru-out. There will be printable study guides to supplement the learning. Each class can be viewed from your computer, tablet or phone. thus allowing students around the world to join us in learning.
