Cary L. Voorhees

Animals have usually pointed Cary towards her next adventure in life. As a child, she was surrounded by animals of all kinds so it’s no wonder that her college degree is in Zoology! Cary moved to Oregon in 1984 where she began her 36 year dog training career and it still continues. She began training rescue dogs as Hearing Dogs and then expanded training to just about any kind of dog sport or medical alert dogs. Being a person that enjoys volunteering and helping her community, Cary has taught obedience 4-H classes and worked with troubled teens and veterans training dogs to help with emotional challenges.

When not playing with dogs, Cary is horsing around! She loves looking out her home window and watching the critters graze. For years, Cary and her partner had trained, ridden and packed their horses throughout the Oregon wilderness.

Cary has been working with Jin Shin Jytusu for animals since 2009. She is excited about combining her knowledge of animal behavior with Jin Shin Jyutsu. It seems like a beautiful holistic blend for each animal. Cary is happily living on 15 acres of land with her partner Shelly, 4 dogs, 2 cats, 1 pony and 1 goat (and 2 neighbor dogs who never want to go home 😊)
